5/11/2003 We went to the south of the prefecture today for Mayuho's Mother's Day Gospel Concert. So Kylie and I were entertained by Mayuho, eight other members, and the teacher of course. Kylie was of course adored by all the people at the concert, and the choir did a super job. If you are wondering about the box above, they have a phrase in Japan "Hako iri musume." Literally, "Daughter in a box." It means that the parents treasure their daughter, and protect her, you know, like she is a doll in a box. We had the box from some udon (Japanese wheat noodles) that Mayuho won in a drawing (she wins all the time! It is kinda scary!), and we were wondering what photo to use today, then it struck me! |
