Marle:She is the main girl character of the game. She uses ice magic and wields a crossbow. She is the one who knocks into Crono at the beggining of the game. Her pendant reacts to the teleportal machine and makes her disappear. She is also known as Nadia which you will find out why as the game progresses.
Lucca:She is a childhood friend of Crono who invents the teleportal. She uses fire magic (which is also the msot powerful moves in the game) and wields a gun. After Crono and Marle disappear through the teleportal she stays behind to find out what went wrong and designs a key that allows her to travel through the gate created by the teleportal as she pleases.
Frog:He is a mysterious frog creature that shows up well the party searches for Marle. He uses water magic and wields a broad sword. His past is a greatly troubled time and his real name is Glenn, but I don't want to ruin the game so I won't tell you anymore.
Robo:He is a robot that the party finds beaten up in the future. He can't use magic because he's not alive but his laser weapons make up for it, He wields different metal arms for a weapon. They don't know where he came from, but he is strangely polite and as a reward for fixing him decides to join the party. His real name is Prometheus which you find out near the end of the game.
Ayla:She is the leader of the Prehistoric people called the Ioka. She can't use magic because she was born before magic exhisted, and doesn't use any weapon, but her fists will level up at level 69 and 99. She has a stone called the dreamstone which is needed to fix a mythical sword. You will find out more about her by playing the game.
Magus:He is a vampire from the year 600A.D. He is the only person to use shadow magic and wields a scythe. He is the leader of the mystics and terrorizes the people in his time. His past is mysterious and his real name is Janus.
