    Described: (Navy), a deck next below the gun deck, where the hammocks of the crew are swung
     The "Berth deck" consisted of crew members quarters. Space was small for the big crews, so sleeping space was limited and they slpet in hammocks. The officer's had separate from the crew and with more room, but still quite small.
   Described: the deck or part of a deck where the cables are stowed, usually below the water line.
In the "Orlop deck" there was a surgeons cockpit, it was a place  where, if needed, surgery could be performed. It was considered to be a safe, stable spot. Also, it consist of a filing room and  aft magazines.
