The Units AGM was held at the last meeting before christmas where all the Units participation within the community and region was discussed. A record number of duties were attended over the past twelve monthe with nearly 2,000 hours of duties covered. The Units bank balance has increased despite the fact that nearly 2,000 euro was invested in new equipment. The Cadet Unit has come on alot with new membership being recorded and the training which the cadets sweat over every tuesday night being put into practice at the regularly attended duties and competitions.
Tony Dempsey thanked all members who helped during our training which we gave to business's and local volunteers, 28 people attended and all successfully completed the Basic first Aid course. He also went onto thank all members for their dedication over the last year which included seven of our members receiving their intermediate first aid certs.
Overall the year went well for the unit and an even better 2003 is hoped for, changes were made to the responsibilities and they are as follows.
