     About the Senior Unit
The Senior Division of the Templeogue Unit of the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps is the main

body of the unit. Although it has small numbers, the members are dedicated and hard working. They meet every

Tuesday night at 8 o'clock in Sancta Maria College. Our Officer in Charge is Tony Dempsey and he teaches us

all sorts of first aid stuff, from C.P.R. to fractures. The unit has been going for about 14 years to the best of my

knowledge but I could be totally wrong. We used to feature quite often in footdrill and first aid competitions but in

recent times we haven't, hopefully this will change soon because we are good enough and efficient enough to compete

with the best. There are about 10 members who are active in the senior unit at the moment but there are others who

are unable to come up every week, but they all have their own part to play in the running of the unit. All in all we

are a friendly and honest bunch and if anyone was ever in need we would give 100% in an effort to help them and

make them as comfortable as possible.

We also have a Cadet unit which is run by Sarah Bowers with the assistance of Paddy Farrell, Aife

Heffernan and Rob Collins. For more information on the
Cadet unit just click the link. The majority of the current

seniors have come through cadets together and thanks to the order many friends have been made among each other

and through duties we share with other units. We cover many duties throughout the year and any people we have

worked with are treated well. Duties we are at include the St. Patricks Day Parade, The FM104 Marlay Park Concert,

Leapardstown Races and the National Concert hall, however we also do alot of local work in the form of Mass Runs

and such outings. There is also the annual pilgrimage to knock which is always thoroughly enjoyable. If you would

like to know more about the unit don't hesitate to E-Mail me and ask any questions.
