This is a CHAOTIC / EVIL alligned guild based out of The Keep, located at www.nexxushost.com/thekeep. This is a place for any roleplayer interested in going down the dark side and playing a real villain. Background:
The Red Legion is part of the Gogel storyline, found at the Order of Gogel Homepage. It is are an evil cult ruled by the vampire Andrion Blightmoore. It is a place for only dark characters. This includes Orcs, undead, demons, and their ilk. The Red Legion serves a purpose of introducing unparalel evil to the free form roleplaying community.
Storyline:
Ages, and ages ago the planet of Maea was on the brink of absolute destruction after a brutal war occured between the planet's two dominant factions, known as the Khettata and the Dakkata. The god-like sorceror known as Gogel, on the brink of defeat, created a separate planar dimension known as the Van'Ci to collect the souls of his desecrated army, so they may live again to rebuild their empire. Scattered followers of the Sorceror God remained on the ruined planet, in small clans, and attempted to resummon their masters from the netherworld in a tireless effort. Over thousands of years, their practice would be known throughout the planes as Necromancy.
Gogel may have been destroyed during the birth of his world, but most of his power was given to his most trusted lieutenant, known as Sethmar, who became a lich of great and terrible power. Through the Van'Ci demiplane, Sethmar rebuilt the Khettatan Empire, and their terrestrial followers gradually bridged the connection between these two worlds.
Despite being undeniably ruthless and merciless in their conquests, Lord Sethmar's empire and his dark legions still adherred to a code of honor which they once abided by under Gogel, and they refrained from mindless cruelty, chaos, and desecration. However, this honor system annoyed one of Sethmar's high chiefs, Agathala, who branched away from his brother's order to create a society in the Van'Ci which reveled in self indulgence, chaos, power, and the suffering of others. In little time at all, a perpetual civil war broke out between these two factions.
Agathala's underworld army would continue to grow, but it could never outshine Sethmar. However, when Sethmar was destroyed by a group of adventurers, Agathala seized more power in the Van'Ci, and his influence in the mortal realms became more apparent. Among those who decided to exploit this presence was Andrion Blightmoore, a simple vampire who long ago tapped into the sorcery of the Van'Ci to harness great power. He alligned himself with Lord Agathala, and after the banishment of Sethmar, he vowed to serve his master by helping usher him into the terrestrial plane.
Because of his loyalty, he was promoted far beyond a mere vampire, and he was blessed with the title of High Demon Prince of the Van'Ci. He quickly moved up the ranks through his unrelenting cruelty to become Agathala's most trusted lieutenant. In recent years, he has formed an order of Necromantic evil known as the Red Legion, where he has already tried several times to rain down Agathala's army from his twisted dimension. But, he needs much more time, and much more power, to accomplish this.
JOINING: READ ALL OF THIS FIRST
1. Basic rules of membership and guidelines reflect the Red Legion's enemy guild, the Order of Gogel. Read their rules here: Membership Guidelines, and then return to this page.
2. A member of the Red Legion is going to act evil, and this includes attacking and abducting innocent characters. They are merciless, and terrible. However, never, ever disrespect somebody OOC. Understand that you are playing an evil character, and since this is free form, some players will not accept negative or bad things happening to them. If this is the case, respect their wishes and find a way to realistically work it out through in character terms. Generally, in free form, everything happens on a consentual basis.
3. Do not god-mode. I highly suggest creating a somewhat expendable character, because if you are in this guild, there's a good chance your character is going to die. That's what makes this so fun, too.
4. Do not act evil in such a way that you are ever harassing or being immoral in a way that it could be considered offensive in an out of character context.
5. If playing with a game master or moderator present, always respect all of their rules.
6. Do not multipost, ie: putting five attacks in one post. If in a fight, one post can not include more than one attack and one defense.
7. Characters suggested for creation include: skeleton minions, Orcs, zombies, goblins, ogres, and any combinations thereof. Of course, we also accept a variety of other evil characters to join the ranks, from succubi to demons and, of course, vampires. 8. E-mail [email protected] with the following: name of character, copy and pasted profile you are going to use, any additional character information, and the reason you are interested in joining. If you're accepted, you'll be sent additional membership information which you may have to fill out or sign, and then when the membership process is finished you can play your character as a member of the Red Legion.
9. Alternatively, find a high ranking member online and you can fill out the process over the chat. However, any lists of high ranking members is to remain confidential, so it may be challenging to do this.
