| Basics: What To Know First The Order of Gogel is a diverse embodiment of undead, human worshippers, bestial races (such as Orckin), and almost any kind of character that will follow with the storyline of an infernal army. This means you can either create a character specifically to join the guild, or you may enter as an existing (convert) character. I've currently established this clan out of chat.rpghost.com/thekeep-- the same place that its predecessor, the Ebon Order, was stationed out of. However, by no means is it limited to this forum. There are other places to go for free-form roleplaying as well, which we may expand to in the future. The purpose of the guild is NOT to run around causing havoc on TK. Rather, it's 100% about storylines. This means, it doesn't matter whether we have a legion of players or just a small handful, because the goal is still just to have fun, create intrigue, and SLs. Read the membership guidelines before going any further. There are things there you have to know before making a character. Keep in mind I'm pretty far from a snooty elitist RP'er who demands specific writing styles and absolute devotion. Remember the goal is to have fun, HOWEVER, there ARE important things to remember so that the guild doesn't become chaos, and so we can avoid some of the problems we had in the past. Step 1: Make a Character * If you want to maximize your fun, I highly suggest creating a specific "creature" for the guild-- such as a zombie, a lich, an orc, or any fantasy monster that comes to your mind. In order to distinguish guild members as well as "monsters" here is a basic guideline for making a character: Name_the_Noun/Adjective For example, a good Lich name would be Arghaz_the_Arcanist. For an Orc, how about Groblak_the_Brutal, or a zombie could be Shangles_the_Crawling ...See the idea? This sort of shows who's who. Be imaginative. Don't do something stupid, like Madlich_gonna_Killjoo. Bad, stupid RP like that = kicked from clan/excommunicated. * If you're creating any sort of undead character, at character creation set gender to neutral. * Monsters might be temporary. If you read the guidelines, you'll see that you're encouraged to RP fairly and realistically, which means if you're an Orc and you've simmed a fight against somebody, and if that person plays fairly and logically and you end up getting cornered and hacked up with an axe, well... Orcs aren't gods, just let your character die, then come right back with a fresh character to go for another round! (Relentless >:) Always email [email protected] with the name of new char, and who died, to keep roster fresh.) * Read the storyline and the website. Just get a jist of the existing lore in the scrolls section, this whole SL has a pretty long and detailed history behind it which I don't expect you to become a scholar in, however you must get some limited knowledge at least so you can invent a kickass background story for your new character. * For existing characters: The Order of Gogel accepts most converts who seek eternal life and power on the mortal coil, however there are some characters that really annoy me, such as Neko's (Cat girls) and really cliche pre-existing Anime characters (Sephiroth or Vash from 'Trigun' are good examples.) I don't want completely unoriginal characters, you're better off just making someone new. I PREFER medieval/fantasy characters or sci-fi if it's done tastefully without over-the-top BFG 9000's and nuke-weapons. Let's just try to RP like adults, please?
