This extremley obese dolphin overtakes the smaller more vunrable dolphins over fighting for fish. Dolphins in petting tanks can become unnaturally obese and bloated and can die
These dolphins must endure frightful and load crashes and bangs from the parks fireworks. This can cause them extrem stress and can kill them.
Young children and babies are often leaned into the petting pools to get better looks and to be able to touch the dolphins. Not only is this dangerous if the child falls in, but also the dolphins can easily slap, bite, splash and attack the child. I know it may sound silly, but the child can also be mistaken for a fish. I know it sounds daft, but there have been cases of it.
Dolphins often beach themselves becoming extremley vunrable to the extreme heat and is exposed to the public. Also there is possible chances of dolphins lunging forward. Rule has it when feeding dolphins that the fish should be helf 2 - 3 inches above the water, but people are often selfish and hold the fish above the wall so the dolphin is forced to leap so that people can stroke and pet them.
Biting is the most common thing at Marine parks as the dolphins compete with others to get the fish from peoples hands with this comes the risk of dolphins biting at people. Dolphins have many teeth and them biting can cause serious damage to fingers. It is also very painful!
People are often cruel and tease dolphins with fake food, keys or othe objects to make them perfrom for them. Teasing is quite common
Although people may not know it, many people often touch dolphins in very sensitive areas like their ears, nose and eyes.
