*Facts On Captivity*
Don't know about captivity yet?
Still think it's just a walk in the park for the many animals living there?
Is captivity for the animals welfare, ours or the marine parks?

These are some well known facts about captivity. I say well known because those in the world who are against captivity know these facts like they know their names. I for one know these facts, but for those who don't, here they are. They may even change your mind about captivity.
* In the wild orcas live together in tight complex social pods, they are related by blood and each pod has its own speacil communication.

*In the wild whales live to an age of 80 to 90 years old.

* Whales live in cold  sea waters in Iceland and other cold climates.

* Whales leap up high to show their talents, they breech, flipper slap, log and leap out of their own free will.

*Feamale orcas live to around 80 - 90 years and give birth to around 7 - 10 calves after turning sexually active.

* Male dorsal fins are very distinctive. They are very large and tall and are easily idetifiable.
* Artifical families are created where forced realtionships to whales are encouraged.

* The average age of a captive orca is around 15, in which most whales hardly live to. Most whales die just after they turn adults at 9 - 10 years.

* Temperature contraled chlorined tanks are used to keep whales in.

* Whales are starbed and made to perfrom unnatural flips and leaps in frount of an audience. This is the main cause of an Orcas death.

* The average number of off-springs for a female orca is one and females often turn sexually active at an extremeley young age.

* Male dorsal fins flop over after a few months of being forced into captivity.

In Captivity
Orca captures were cruel, abusive and unnesary, the ways in which these poor creatures were driven with force and fear to be purposly beached or even beaten in till they were sick with fear and dragged into boats to be driven to their new destinations. Today captures are still as brutel as ever with whales being dragged by boast with ropes attached to their tails, even by the time they reach wherever they are meant to be it is not surprising that they die of shock or fear, these animals suffer so much because of humans!
Orca transportation is just as bad as the capture. Whales are hauled -sometimes by their tails sometimes in slings - out of the water and are flown, driven or shipped to their fake homes. Some whales are not cared for during these transportations as some are lifted only by ropes caused endless pain and serious injuries.
