Velsor, Shane R. Velsor, reporting for duty. From ska to metal to polka to Latin Christian swing, he's the only drummer you'll ever need. Unfortunately for you, Orange Lazarus got him first (sorry Catholic Ricky Martin wannabes, better luck next time). Shane has never played the drums before until he joined OL. He learned the art by meditating, studying Buddha, and following the wisdom of Dr. Lance Wilhelm Rauh IV. Considering all the factors against him, he turned out pretty good. As a young man, he faced insurmountable difficulties (which turned out to be surmountable, ironically enough) including polio, starvation, drug addiction, gang violence, and carpel tunnel. Thanks to vaccinations, food, the safe environment of Milford, and proper stretching exercises, Shane beat the odds, and became Orange Lazarus's drummer. Shane's influences include Dream Theater, Metallica, and other progressive rock/metal bands. He also listens to Art Blakey and the Jazz Ambassadors, Clifford Brown, and John Coltrane.
