| Man Killed by Lightning On Sunday | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| George Gerald Addison, 26, of Naples, was killed instantly at 4:15 p.m. sunday when a bolt of lightning struck him as he left the Monroe Station eating place to move his car under shelter. Addison had been out driving with his wife Edith, son Walter Paul, and the young Gibbs boy, and had stopped for refreshments at Monroe Station when it began to rain heavily. Leaving the others in the restaurant, Addison went out to move his car and reportedly had just reached the vehicle when the lightning flashed. The bolt had apparently been attracted by the big tree at Monroe. |
