'Studio 2O00' drama information released
The East drama department will present its third studio show on April 14 and 15 in the student center.
The production will feature two plays: 'Next" and 'Rubber Room" along with other short skits and monologues.
Auditions were held the second week in February. Maria Ismael (I2) was named student director, Lod Davidson (II) was named stage manager and Clint Diehl (12) was named assistant stage manager.
"I'm looking forward to once again doing the studio show", said Director Cory Losenicky. "This year, we have two great plays and an awesome cast."

East web page offers resources for all
The East web page is in it's forth year of existence. The address is http://easthigh.waterloo.kl2.ia.us
The newly designed site offers seven sections: alumni, clubs, departments, info, maps, newspaper, and sports.
The alumni directory gives East alum a chance to browse a growing directory of over 250 individuals, while the clubs section highlights some of the activities at East in both word and picture.
Teachers will soon have their own pages in the department section, and the info section contains history, pride, and page information.
The maps section now includes the new East floor plans after the big remodeling project, the newspaper section lets you read the O&B on-line and you can keep updated on sports schedules in the sports section.
East High was the first area school to have a presence on the Worid Wide Web. Matt O'Brien (1 2) and Mike Bowser (10) currently maintain the site.

Officer Kienol introduced parking policy
In hopes to curb illegal parking around the East High grounds, Officer Kienol introduced a new parking policy that went into effect February 1.
The policy states that any illegally parked vehicle around the vicinity of East will be towed without personal contact on the third violation.
So far, no vehicles have been towed, but some drivers are close to earning a second warning.
"I'm not getting cramps in my hand from writing tickets anymore, so someone must be getting the message," stated Officer Kenol.
East High is not alone in the battle against parking violations. Recently, West High administrators introduced a much stricter policy that calls for a boot to be placed on an improperly parked vehicle untill a fine is paid.
At West, the regulations are being enforced, as Superintendent Dr. Arlis Swartzendruber found out.
"I parked in a place I should not have parked," remarked Swartzendruber. "They booted the car, they were embarrassed when they found out it was the superintendent's car. I paid the $20 fine and I congratulated them on doing a good job."

Scholarship opportunity for juniors
With the daunting task of finding money to attend college, many seniors find themselves scrambling to the counseling center scholarship file for help.
Traditionally, scholarship opportunities are available for seniors only. However, the Mother Moon scholarship gives juniors a chance to get a jumpstart on college funding.
Eleventh grade students are eligible to apply if they have completed 100 volunteer hours in the last year. Applications are available from Mrs. Merrill, but the deadline of March 10 is quickly approaching.
