| I believe that good designs come from several elements. First is listening to your client. Second is asking the right questions. Third is taking good notes. And fourth is begining each design with a thumbnail sketch. I have always put the pencil to the page before each and every design. I feel that it gives you an idea of what works and what doesn't before you ever draft it in the computer. Many designs loose their organic nature and become rigid because they were not first based on a freehanded sketch.
