I mentioned earlier about not really understanding the people and their culture without actually going there and experiencing a part of their history. It's nice to look at these pictures but something totally different to to walk around the museums and get close enough to touch these antiquities or wander around the ruins wondering what is was like to live back then. You take a look at the artisans abilities back then and realize there's nothing nowadays to rival the workmanship given the tools and knowledge they had to work with. That's why I pushed earlier in this journal for people to travel as much as possible. Screw the club med crowd, this is the kind of vacation you'll never forget. |
