The poorly scanned documents seem to load right up and the scanner we have now scans good but the files are really large but I'll work on that problem.
This letter appeared to work out to be just another government sham as far as the so-called investigation went. Capt. Richard Allen heard the beginning of the taped phone calls warning the boys just hours before two were killed to watch out they're looking for you and he told us to cut the tape off because he didn't want to taint the investigation.
We were encouraged by the then Mississippi Public Safety Commishioner Jim Ingram to attend a Grand Jury in the 1st Judicial district of Hinds County that we had been served sopeanias for. The incidents occurred in the 2nd Judicial district of Hinds County but we were unaware of the various judicial districts at that time.
We brought the audio tapes and other evidence but the Grand Jury didn't want to hear the audio tapes. Tommy Mayfield who was running the Grand Jury for Ed Peters had already made it clear that he had no intrest in pursuing the obvious foul play involving law-enforcement officers and they're family members.
