Samuel Ramey In Concert / Review 1 2
From his debut in 1978 as Colline in Puccinis La bohme to his most recent performance in Simon Boccanegra (2001), Samuel Ramey has enthralled San Francisco Opera audiences with his riveting, elegant and commanding stage presence.

Universally recognized as one of the great singers of his generation and a masterful interpreter of French, Russian and Italian repertoire, Rameys rich and expressive voice is uniquely suited to devils and villains, roles in which he has achieved unparalleled acclaim.

Ramey returns to the War Memorial Opera House on Sunday, October 19 at 7:30 PM. He will be joined by San Francisco Opera Music Director Donald Runnicles and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus for an evening of scenes and arias that will showcase his command of the baroque, bel canto, coloratura and dramatic bass repertoire
