10 Commandments
| We
believe that we are called to "such a time as this" to stand up and
be a Joseph Generation~a generation committed to Godly principles, a generation
that listens to God's direction, and a generation that is called to bring God's
blessings to the nations. In keeping with this, we have committed to following ten principles from the freedom movement in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963. It is our desire that all men be free, especially from the bonds of sin and the devil! I HEREBY PLEDGE MYSELF~MY PERSON AND MY BODY~ TO THE GOSPEL MOVEMENT. THEREFORE I WILL KEEP THE FOLLOWING TEN COMMANDMENTS: 1. I will MEDITATE daily on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ and my own personal salvation. Luke 10:19,20; Psalms 17:15 2. I will REMEMBER always that the gospel movement seeks to demonstrate love and reconciliation, not victory. 1 John 5:4; 1 Cor. 15:5; Prov. 21:31; 1 Cor. 5:18 3. I will WALK and TALK in the manner of love, for God is love. Micah 6:8;1 John 3:18; Deut. 11:22-25; 1 Tim. 4:12; Psalms 37:30-31 4. I will PRAY daily to be used by God in order that all men might be free. Luke 11:2-4; John 17:13-23; Luke 4:18-19; 2 Cor. 3:17; Luke 10:17-20 5. I will SACRIFICE personal wishes in order that all men might be free. Esther 4:14-15; Luke 21:12-19; matt. 16:24,25; John 15:13; Mark 13:32-41 6. I will OBSERVE with both friend and foe the ordinary rules of courtesy. Luke 6:27-36; Eph. 4:29-32; Gal 5:19-26 7. I will SEEK to perform regular service for others and for the world.
