This is a special story of how God shows us what courage is really about.  Angelica Domonic  (Niki) is a prime example of the courage that God is trying to show us.  This little angel lived a very short life and the life that she did live was full of sickness, but to have seen her and known her the sickness was only on the outside.  For she was healthy on the inside.  Niki was diagnosed with Leukemia two days before Mother's Day in 1985.  Even though she dying slowly it was rarely seen to look at her.  Even though her appearence was altered from the diesease it didn't alter her heart.  Niki showed her family and friends the true meaning of life.  She accepted the deadly diesease with more grace and honor than any adult would at the young age of 4 1/2.
Looking through her pictures I was amazed to see that in almost 4 1/2 years while she was dealing with this diesease very few pictures had frowns on her face.  She was happy throughout her whole childhood healthy and sick.
Sadly she lost her battle in August 1988.  But, till this day she is still showing us what courage is all about.  She left behind her mother, Becky and her father, Tony and future sister, Ali.  Not only did she leave behind her family, she left her memories that will be treasured forever.  This November 6, 2000 she would have been 21 years old.
Niki was my cousin (Bill) and I wanted to share her story with you.  I was 17 when she passed away.  And, I now believe that Niki's spirit of courage and happiness shows through her sister, Ali.  I know that Niki is in a place where everyone will soon be. I believe that she was taken to be an Angel for her courage, so that she can be a guardian angel for other childern who live with this disease.  She is greatly missed but we understand that God needed her and we are more than honored that God picked us to be her family.  We are not sad that she passed away, we are happy knowing that her courage is being shared with others.  Let it be known that Niki is everywhere smiling, laughing, giggling, and petting a kitty cat.

WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS, NIKI
