Virtual Field Trips

A virtual field trip is a web site that shows what students would see at a particular place.  It can be used to research a place before a visit, to record what was seen at a visit (like a scrapbook) or it can be used instead of actually taking the field trip.  The sites can include photos, graphics, video, or written information about the destination.

Examples:

A sample virtual field trip to Bolivia.

A sample virtual field trip to Griffith Park that allows students to prepare for a real trip to this park.

A list of many virtual field trips.
