Introduction:
Discuss the words with the pupils briefly. Ask questions such as : Who are 'poachers'? What do they do? Illicit answers such as 'They are hunters who hunt animals illegally.' What are 'tusks'? - long pointed teeth of elephants or walrus…..(for information-male elephants are bulls, female elephants are cows and the young are calves) Word splash- poachers, protection, captured, prevention, extinct, conservation, tusks, destruction, endangered and forests. Pupils to derive the possible topic/s through questions and brief discussion. Development: Activity 2 (increases pupils' knowledge of the plants and animals found in a habitat such as
