This is where I'm at. I am on the verge of 22, stuck at community college, and waiting for my boyfriend to come home from Iraq. When he does get back to this great country of freedom, he will still be in a different time zone, and I will still be waiting to get into my nursing program at a community college. I suck at life and you were probably thinking it too. On the bright side, I could always blame Seattle rain...
One time, late at work, I was compelled to search for old blogs and former websites of mine scattered throughout the world wide web. Mostly to find old pictures and to revisit my naive brain. It was a scavenger hunt of sorts. Upon arriving at one website, I would immediately search for the "links" page. Unfortunately, most "links" page I found were mere cemeteries full of dead links. My asianavenue is gone. My xanga password forgotten. Ex-geocitites tribute sites have been deleted. Former e-mail addresses lost.
However, I did have this one site. This OneStrayStar, created by the younger me, when emo was coming out of the underground and online communities were still striving to reach pop-culture status. Alas! Five years later and MySpace is mentioned in every other teen flick, spoof flick, and chick flick. The once simple Facebook once available only to college students has now not only opened up to the public but has gone haywire with applications left and right as well. MySpace Tom, up your anty, Facebook Mark has.
To get back to the simplicity of the late night 90's and because I really don't want to create another account, I've decided to adopt what once was mine.
So if by any chance you've stumbled upon this and your brain is actually registering the words you see, I am here again, mostly unfiltered & less profane.
