| Strsess is one of the primary causes of death in the United States. Too often we let things build up to the point that we become physically sick. Stress is tension out of control. The pattern usually looks like this: various tensions in life are left to run their course without being dealt with. This leads to emotional and physical strain, which leads to our bodies being affected. The root cause for all of this is our being spiritually out of tune. To help you deal with this I am going to give you som scriptures to study and get into your spirit. Also there are some links to some fun things to make you laugh. In Proverbs 17:22 we read that laughter does the body good. It also helps spiritually and emotionally. Here are some examples: 1} You can often find something humerous in life's situations if you don't let yourself get too tightly wound. 2} there are some good funny movies on television, as well as on video. {I sometimes find a string of funny movies on TV and make a marathon out of them.} 3}There are funny sitcoms on television. So enjoy the ride! Always be thankful, joyful, and full of peace. {Phillipians 4:4-7} Life's temptations cause stress, but the Lord will show you a way out. {1Corinthians 10:12-13} Carrying too heavy a load causes stress. So: 1} Delegate authority. {Exodus 18:13-26} 2} Give all your burden to Jesus. {Matthew 11:28-30} Jesus cares about our stress. When life presses in on us, he never abandons us. {2Corinthians 4:8-12} Jesus is always with us. He is for us and gaurds his children. He fightsfor us. {Romans 8:31-39} We can take refuge in him. {Psalm 62:1-8; 91:1-16} |
