I haven't updated. I've been busy. I've been: working, tanning, eating, exercising, singing songs that I like...living.
I haven't had the "want" to update. I'll keeping trying :). The weather is beautiful today. High is 70..yummy. Must wear some capri's...no socks..short sleeves. :)...
On a side note. I must say...Justin Timberlake...is pretty darn sexy. I'm not normally much for boy bands, but I do like R&B, Soul and Funk music. I must admit, so far all the songs off of his solo album are pretty good..Nice songs to shake the booty to !!!!

I feel better, not feeling as sick. As you can see on my progress page.....I'm still making progress :)..I didn't do much in the month of January...well, because of the Sarafem and my father's illness. I'm back in the saddle again however (I really never got out of the saddle. I still ate well through all this, which is probably why I didn't gain. I'm glad..I have learned how to eat better..a life long change you know) and back on track. I'm really getting in to walking more and my feet seem to be ok. Granted, I'm not able to do a 5k and not have my tootsies crying, but I can hike a hill and not be outta breath :). Matter o' fact, I can hike the hill better than my pup! lol My dad's appointment on the 4th lead us to the next round of stuff with that. He'll be going in for a three day evaluation this month so they can decide where he is. They will decide if he is ready to be on the transplant list or if he can still be off it and we can maintain through diet and exercise. I'm pretty sure it will be the first and that he will be on the list for probably a 18 months to 2 years before getting a new liver. It seems to be pretty common on the liver message board that I'm part of. Thankfully, he's not having all the bad bad signs (three signs are pretty common and synonymous with being bad: acsites (fluid retention in the body cavity, legs and feet), hepatic encephalitis (ammonia build up in the blood which causes confusion and could cause coma) and esophageal varices (bleeds). He's had two, the ascites and the hepatic encephalitis) Anyhoo..we'll just have to wait and see. I'm keeping my chin up. Work is work..what can I say. My boss is turning out to have a bit of a heart. Last week, my parents had to put down our family dog, Barney. I was upset about this terribly and I'm not going in to it too much here,..I just don't want to. At any rate, he knew I was upset and I was crying hard at work. He came to my desk and told me that I should go home for the day and I cried more. He squeezed my arm a few times. Aww..he's not totally dark in there. But seriously, he has shown great compassion for me and he knows whats going on with my poppa. I think I'll have to stick around a little while longer. |
