It never surprises me the way ideas come to mind. This pot was the top part of a gourd that had fallen and hit a hard surface and made a pretty clean break. A little sanding and sawing and both pieces are made into southwestern pottery.
Now how tall do you think this is?  Well Steve a friend of ours guessed 26 -30 inches! We all started laughing..Course he was going by these pics too.. The actual height of this vase is 5 inches plus its base of 1 inch.  I enjoy photography and am always getting pictures. I happen to get lucky with the angle  in which I took this picture.
This  particular gourd I picked an outdoor theme. This one is my garden gourd. I also drilled a hole out and cleaned out the inside so birds can actually use this. The roof over the entry hole is made of real birch bark as is the trunk of the tree in the last picture.
There will be more pictures added to this page . Please be patient as I try to keep up with the crafts themselves, the ideas that flow,  and  pictures as I go.. A crafters world tends to get kaotic at times espcially with kids, though my daughter does well keepin up and adding her own artistry herself..

Please continue down to the bottom and click onto the next page. There you will find  my simulated stain glass arts. As always I had  to expand on an idea which altimatly lead to many more, one of which hubby added to the mix.  I thank you for your patients  and hope you enjoy the crafts. If anyone would like to have their crafts  added in or would like to place an order,  please   e-mail me   at:

Below is the bottom half  of the above. It broke clean so just needed to even things out.. On each of the four sides as shown below there is a southwestern picture. This needs more designing around the top but for now  this is how it ended up.
