Centre back Ollie Wright was one of the original members of the ECFC family. Having graduated from Playground FC with the rest of the team Ollie made his debut in the clubs second game at home to Plumpton Athletic III as the team ran at 3-1 winners. This was the start of three consecutive starts in the absence of Nick Palmer as the club chalked up a run of victories throughout September. Indeed it was when Ollie was dropped to the bench against East Grinstead Utd III that East Court suffered there first defeat. He made two more substitute appearances before finishing his ECFC career with an 8-0 win over Newick II at the start of 2003. Shortly after he moved to Lingfield.

Ollie is perhaps best known for his love of slide tackles and one of the most comical goals this club has conceded against Horsted Keynes. A throw-in made it through to keeper Andrew Seeds who let it through his legs. Ollie tried to save the day (even though it would have been a goal-kick as no-one had touched the ball) and slid in to clear off the line, the ball ricocheted off Seeds? back and into the back of the net.
