| Saturday 11 February 2006 East Court 2 Scaynes Hill 3 East Court only had themselves to blame as they tumbled out of the Stubbins Challenge Cup at the quarter final stage after losing to division 3 high-fliers Scaynes Hill. East Court made one change to the side that beat Dormansland in the league last week with Ben Sunderland replacing the cup-tied Richard Hayes. East Court created the better chances in the first half but failed to score and were made to pay when Scaynes Hill took the lead with a far post header towards the end of the first half. Ross Kelly was winning all the high balls up front and Billy Denyer was causing problems for the visiting defence. Three times the ball flew across the Scaynes Hill goalmouth only needing a touch but the home side failed to get enough players into the box to make the most of the opportunities. The second half was more or less all East Court as they dominated the play but they soon found themselves two goals down. A Scaynes Hill midfielder found space and his throughball beat the East Court offside trap and the ball was dispatched past keeper Dan Lamprell. East Court battled back into the game and Ben Sunderland set Lee Champion up in central midfield and his long range effort flew over the keeper into the back of the net. Yet again East Court failed to pick up a Scaynes Hill midfielder and his ball in behind Andy Wright caught the fullback napping and the home side found themselves two goals behind again. The visitors could easily have added to their tally as East Court pushed men on in an attempt to get back into the game but Lamprell was equal to the close range effort. Nick Palmer did manage to score a second for the home side as he poked home from close range after the ball had made its way across the crowded penalty area. Soon after Wright fired a shot into the outside of the post from close range after a Sunderland corner caused havoc in the away defence. There was still time for Kelly to have a header cleared off the line as East Court threatened right to the final whistle but it wasn't to be.
