| Saturday 26 November 2005 Wealden III 0 East Court 6 EAST Court returned to league action with a comfortable 6-0 away win against Wealden III thanks to goals from Ross Kelly (2), Carl Buckler (2), Billy Denyer and Lee Champion. East Court started well and should have taken the lead within the first few minutes when Buckler, on his return from injury, was foiled by a good save from the home keeper. It didn't take long for the away side to take the lead when Buckler exchanged passes with Denyer and his cross found its way into the far corner of the net. The rest of the first half was a dour affair, East Court struggled to create further chances while Paul Bishop had to be alert at the other end to stop an onrushing Wealden striker. It was to be his only real action of the game. In the second half East Court improved when kicking down the slope. Denyer should have scored a second for the visitors but the keeper made a sharp save only for Kelly to knock home the rebound. A controversial third soon followed as Buckler added his second. Denyer played Buckler in behind the home defense but as he went past the keeper the ball seemed to strike his arm. Despite the home side's appeals the goal stood. Champion made it four with a volley from the edge of the area after a Denyer corner was half-cleared before Kelly scored a fifth after the keeper had saved Denyer's initial shot. With fifteen minutes to go centre-back Daniel Medcalf was forced off after sustaining an ankle injury in a challenge but there was still time for Denyer to score a sixth in the dying minutes. With Wealden pushing forward there were gaps at the back which Buckler exploited down the left wing. He cut the ball back for Denyer to score East Court's 300th league goal in only their fourth season. Next Saturday East Court travel to Old Varndeanians III in the league for the two sides third meeting in four weeks.
