| Saturday 16 October 2004 Buxted II 0 East Court FC 6 EAST Court returned to the top of Mid Sussex League Division 5 after a convincing win on Saturday (October 16). Buxted created the first chance but East Court keeper Paul Bishop blocked the shot. After that the home side were outplayed with East Court producing some nice passing football. Billy Denyer, returning from injury, was instrumental in setting up the first goal for the away side. He played in Carl Buckler, who curled the ball into the top corner of the net. The second came soon after following an almost identical move. Lee Champion passed to Denyer, who found Buckler at the far post and he beat two men before smashing the ball past the keeper. A Denyer corner then found Martyn Bishop free in the box and he powered home his header. Captain Simon Nickols came off injured and was replaced by James Salter. Andrew Wright took over the skipper's armband. Ben Sunderland added number four before half-time when he tucked home after the Buxted keeper failed to hold Denyer's shot. For the second half Aam Shillibeer replaced Denyer while Tom Greig came on for Champion. Martyn Bishop scored his second, expertly curling a free kick about 25 yards out into the top of the net. Daniel Medcalf grabbed his first goal of the season before the end. The player-manager, pushed up into midfield for the second half, picked up the ball in space and unleashed an unstoppable drive from outside the box into the roof of the net.
