| Saturday 17 April 2004 Jarvis Brook II 1 East Court FC 8 ROSS Kelly hit a hat-trick as East Court, sponsored by Herbert Sports, secured their second successive promotion in the Mid Sussex Football League on Saturday (April 17). Billy Denyer opened the scoring after Carl Buckler charged down the Jarvis' keepers clearance and Denyer was on hand to tuck the ball home. It was soon two after Jarvis failed to clear a Denyer corner and the ball fell to Martyn Bishop who make no mistake with his right foot volley. Man of the match Kelly grabbed his first of the afternoon after Denyer's initial shot was blocked and then scored again shortly after when the Jarvis keeper flapped at a Denyer corner. He then chalked up his third, beating a couple of defenders to slot home after Denyer's effort had been saved. Jarvis pulled one back after the break. Chris Butler, who replaced the injured Martyn Bishop at half-time, was beaten for pace and the Jarvis player smashed the balll beyond the reach of keeper Andrew Mackie - the first goal East Court had conceded in five games. But normal service was resumed shortly after when Denyer dispossessed a Jarvis defender on the half-way line before outpacing everyone to score his second of the game. Lee Champion got on the score-sheet, finishing neatly with his left foot after beating a couple of Jarvis defenders. Ben Sunderland replaced Champion and set up the final goal of the afternoon for fellow substitute Nick Clarkson-Tooze, who tucked home into an empty net.
