Horsted Keynes II 2 East Court FC 4

A resiliant East Court FC fought back from two goals down to book their place in the second round of the Mid Sussex Football League Malins Cup on Saturday (September 21).

East Court were very slow to start and within 10 minutes found themselves two goals behind.

But East Court never gave up and after Ben Sunderland and Billy Denyer had missed good chances they pulled a goal back through James Salter.

From the restart East Court equalised when Sunderland headed the ball over the advancing Horsted Keynes keeper and into the net.

In the second half East Court took the lead with a very well taken goal from Simon Nickols. A series of one touch passes set up the East Court captain on the edge of the area and he slammed his shot past the keeper.

With about 10 minutes left East Court made sure of victory when Denyer finished off another good team move.
