March 2006 News

After yesterday's home defeat to Dormansland Rockets the promotion race is back in the balance. We currently sit 3 points behind Fletching with two games in hand so obviously if we win all our remaining games we will go up but it rarely that straight forward. Given the gap in goal difference between the two sides realistically we will end up in second if we win four of our remaining five matches. Fletching's last three games are a trip Dormansland before home games against leaders AFC Ringmer and Chailey. Of course, all this change depending on the outcome of Friday's league meeting.

The rest of our fixtures are provisionally available now. Home games against Dormansland Rockets (25/03/06) and Wealden III (01/04/06) end our season at Imberhorne before trips to AFC Ringmer (08/04/06), Chailey (15/04/06), Uckfield Town III (17/04/06) and Ardingly II (22/04/06) end our fourth season in the Mid Sussex Football League.

A couple more updates to the site today, the following Player Profiles have had pictures added to them: Paul Bishop, Carl Buckler, Billy Denyer, Andrew Mackie, Daniel Medcalf, Mark Nolan, Nick Palmer, James Salter, Chris Whiting and Andy Wright.

In other news, Paul Bishop is still recovering from the chipped bone in his finger that he picked up against Nutley II but is hopeful of being fit enough to play a part in this weekend's cup match.

Yesterday's Somerville Cup Semi Final at home to league leaders AFC Ringmer was postponed due to the wet weather in the week leading up to the clash. It has now been rearranged for this weekend, the 18th.

The Ardingly program for October 2005 is finally up and in all its glory on the Fixtures page. It's taken a while but I've finally managed to get round to reproducing the cover. There are a load of links up now to other clubs in the area and important sites such as mitoo. I can't vouch for how often they are updated but feel free to have a look at a few of them. On this page there is also a map to our pitch and the address of our pitch. I might even get round to putting up directions at some point. I'm hoping to put a few more pictures on the profile pages at some point as well.
