DRAMA
(by Ondrea N. Lewis ©1999)

Glarin’ eyes
It’s no surprise
That you’re hatin’ me
Just to be

Nothin’ better
To do with time
Than worry about
Me and mine

Don’t like my walk
Don’t like my talk
Can’t stand my hair
Or what I wear

Always startin’ drama

He said this
She said that
Oh really,
Is that a fact?

Well my life is full
Of things to do
And I refuse
To worry about you

You just mad
Cause I don’t care
And I really don’t want
To take it there

Always startin’ drama

You heard that I
Got a man at home
So you decide
That I’m doin’ wrong

Told his friends
That you saw me around
Hangin’ with another
Way across town

But just to keep
The rumors comin’
You said I was with
Another woman

Always startin’ drama

But one thing
That you don’t know
You could never
Disrupt my flow

Children play games
And babies run cryin’
And I think it’s silly
To hear grown folks lyin’

So all that drama
You tryin’ to throw my way
Save it for your momma
Cause I don’t have time today
