UNTITLED 1
(by Ondrea N. Lewis ©2000)

Red and yellow
And pink and green
Purple and orange and blue

Every time I see a rainbow
All I think about is you

A mysterious creation
From the high and grand creator
Only seen after the rain

We take storms as signs of bad
Associating them with pain

But the rain comes from
The clouds above
And each cloud
Has a silver lining

And when the storm passes
And the clouds separate
You can see the sun shining

This common miracle
We’ve seen all our lives
Go unnoticed by those
Just tryin’ to get by

But we’re so wrapped up
In the day to day
We don’t stop and listen
To what God has to say

Take the good
Accept the bad
And make the best of things

Continue to love me
With all your heart
And you’ll see what joy
I can bring

He loves us, you know
And would never let us down
We should appreciate the sky
And kiss the ground
