Onambutu Reads Like You Do
Onambutu Reads Like You Do
The purpose of this site is to enhance the literacy project aimed at
helping Namibian learners
in Onambutu Village. Our current library is operating out of a storage closet that is only
partially full of tattered, obscure reading material. The goal of Onambutu Combined School
is to expand the existing library by collecting books from willing donors and to
construct a library building, equipped with electricity, computers, reference materials, and
more.
Our plan is to raise N$70,000 (approximately US$10,000) for the construction of the building,
computers,
bookshelves, books, desks, chairs, and other library necessities. All of the materials will
be coming from a local brick vendor in Onambutu village as well as the labor for the construction.
For more information, go to the
Library Project page.
If you are interested in contributing to the Onambutu Library Project please make a donation!
