Personality: Haruka is a young woman with a very hard outer shell. She is a tomboy to the extreme, and she hates to show ANY weakness. However, she shows that she cares by risking both her own life and the life of the one she loves to save the world. She willingly kills herself, as does Michiru, so that they can bring out the talismans that they carry. She is determined to no end.

Ten�oh Haruka is a very determined individual. No matter what she does, she always does it will full intensity. There is no half-way for her. She has the drive (no pun intended) and the passion to accomplish just about anything, and she knows it. She may seem cold and harsh, especially in the S series (I think that�s right, I always get the series mixed up) where she is searching for the talismans. However, her coldness is really just distancing. She couldn�t allow herself to get close to anyone because that person might bet he carrier of the talisman, and if she befriended that person, she�d have to kill a friend. She didn�t WANT to kill anyone, but it was a matter of losing one life or losing all life on Earth. She held up extremely well, considering the pressure she had to face due to this mission. She is very loyal, as can be noted by her relationship with Michiru and by her loyalty to Usagi once she is sure that she is the true Moon Princess. She is cautious, never letting her guard down. This has saved her on more than one occasion, as well as saving the other senshi. She is a very emotionally strong person, being able to out aside her own emotions to save the world. She loves Michiru very much, and the most touching scene I remember is when she and Michiru kill each other in order to get the talismans to save everyone else. Now THAT is self-sacrifice.
Some people say she isn�t very loving, but I�ve just given a lot of evidence as to how much love she really has. Not only does she love Michiru intensely, but she also has an even rarer love�love for everyone. She demonstrates this by putting her life on the line many times, and eventually killing herself, to save people that she doesn�t even know�to save the world.
She is also very unique and does not care what anyone else thinks. It takes a lot of inner strength and self-confidence to go against the crowd and not care. She wears men�s clothing because she likes it, not to impress anyone. She is often times mistaken for a man, and that doesn�t bother her at all. In fact, she likes to play that up, confusing people and having some fun with it.
Haruka is an extremely talented person. She is very athletic. She is very skilled at driving both a car and a motorcycle, and her ability to run is unparalleled. She is certainly not all brawn, for she also has a very artistic side. Not only can she appreciate fine works of art and music, but she is a talented pianist as well.
When asked to name an intelligent senshi most people say Mercury, and a few say Neptune, but most people don�t realize that Uranus is very intelligent as well. Like Michiru, she enrolls in Mugan to go undercover. Mugan is an elite school, and is very difficult and mentally challenging. To even get in, a person must be very smart. Her versatility is more proof of her intelligence. It takes a lot of brainpower to adapt as quickly as she does. She is also creatively intelligent, being able to improvise in and out of battle. She is both sarcastic and witty, and is nearly always one step ahead of most of the other senshi (especially the inners). Wit is an expression of intelligence, and it takes a very swift brain to process good comebacks before it is too late.
Haruka is, in my opinion, gorgeous. Sure she isn�t your typical beauty, but I never have been into typical beauty. She is very athletically built, with long, lean legs. She has a long, elegant torso and neck, and her face is very aristocratic. Her short hair emphasizes the masculine side of her, yet at the same time adds to her femininity by enhancing her beautiful face. She has a wild beauty about her, like that of a wolf. She can be dangerous and the wildness is contained just below the surface. Her build and body language portrays this very well.
As a senshi, she is very powerful. She starts out with World Shaking, and at the time, she is more powerful than any of the inner senshi. This attack is not only strong, but is very aesthetically pleasing. It draws the eye in toward the attack, then lets it follow the attack out to the target. She has her saber as a weapon and aid to her Space Sword Blaster attack. Not only is it used in an attack, but it is one of the three talismans that brought the Purity Chalice. This Purity Chalice is what gave Sailor Moon the power to defeat the Bureau of Bad Behavior. Without it, subsequently without the talismans, she would never have had the power to do so.
Her elements are also very unique. Wind and Earth are opposites. No other senshi has elements that are opposites (unless you count Saturn, but Life and Death don�t quite qualify as opposites because they work together). There are other senshi with more than one element, but the second element is always related to the first in some way, such as Mercury having the element of Ice (which is a sub-element of Water) as well as possessing the element of water. Also, her attunement with the wind can help her know when danger is coming, sort of like Rei being able to see things in the flame.
Finally, Sailor Uranus is one of the elite senshi who gets to be a villain. Unlike Saturn and Chibi Moon, she doesn�t change forms, she actually chooses to be evil. Now, this might lower some people�s opinion of her, but she did it so she could be with Neptune forever. (AWWW!) Isn�t that just so sweet? She knew that she would be basically in a constant state of torture without her starseed, but it didn�t matter to her so long as she would be with the one she loved.
Haruka leads a very hard life, and is very misunderstood, both in the anime/manga and by fans of the show. Despite all this, she lives for herself and for her love, Michiru.
