When Dione assigned me the task of informing people about Sailor Moon�s creator, Takeuchi Naoko. I felt very honored. After all, I would not exist if it weren�t for her.

Naoko was born on March 15, 1967 and grew up in Yamanashi prefecture.

She attented Kyoritsu Yakka (pharmacy) University, and in 1986 she created the manga "Love Call" which won the "Nakayoshi New manga-ka award."

She graduated and is a licensed pharmacist. At the time, she was working full time, but her editor encouraged her to continue creating manga.

"Code Name wa Sailor V" was the predicesor to "Sailor Moon." It was so successful that it lead to the creation of another sailor-suited girl manga, the one we all love..."Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" which started as a serial in 1992.
