Pre-Season Run Results .txt format What a great start we have had to the season. We currently have 17 girls (the largest team Phil and I have coached - YEAH!!!!!) and 20 boys. All are working hard and seem excited about the upcoming season. Pictures-Camp, Time Trials, HCI, Bull Run, Cent Quad, Crazy Hat Pictures from Steve Anderson Pictures from Sandy Vinje More from Sandy Sandy 3rd Link for Pictures - Home Meet 10/12 and Scorpion Crawl Sandy - Scorpion Crawl AWESOME day at the State Meet. Congratulations to both the boys and girls teams on outstanding performances. The school moved up to the 2A classification this year and definitely competed very well. The boys started the day by placing 6th out of 20 teams. John Thornton (18:27-24th), Jonah Meyers (18:32-26th), Teddy Carney (18:39-27th), Eric Nathan (19:26-56th), Bryon Travitz (19:44-73), Ian Anderson (20:42-110), and Jimmy Snyder (21:45-134) competed for the team. This was definitely the boys best race of the year - way to end the season right. After a rough county meet the boys really showed some pride and determination by coming to the state meet with their game face on and keeping the OM tradition alive. You guys really did a great job. We will definitely miss the seniors that we will be graduating this year and challenge our young guys to work hard so they can step into some big shoes. The girls went up against some fierce competition in the 2A race - they finished 9th out of 17 teams and beat 2 teams that beat us at Regionals - way to go lady Scorps. If OM were a 1A school as we were last year the girls would have walked away with a trophy by placing 2nd. Grace Concannon (21:38) lead the way earning a medal by placing 15th. Along with Grace, Sarah Lebro (23:47-59th), Samantha Sammis (24:03-66th ), Margo James (24:04-68th), Casey Beare (24:10-73rd), Elizabeth Kimble (24:33-80th), and Lisa Rones (24:55-91st) competed for the Scorps. We are so proud of what this team achieved this year - after battling some injuries the girls continued to fight and spill their guts at the Region and State meet. This was a great year for the ladies, having 17 girls on the roster and many of them freshman. We saw many new faces this year that made a huge impact to this team-thank you for joining the cross country team. We will lose many seniors and they will certainly be missed. Again, we will challenge the young ladies on the team to be ready to take their place next year. Don't forget the banquet is November 21st at 6:30pm in the OM Cafeteria. See you there!!! Great job to the parents who ran the Grapevine - what a tribute to our kids - showing them you can handle the tough demands of cross country running also. Thanks for wearing the OM attire. OMG - first place in Masters coed Steve Anderson Check out the pictures: Congratulations to both teams on their 4th place finish at the 2A South Regional Meet. The girls team was lead by seniors Grace Concannon (4th) and Sarah Lebro (21st). The boys team was lead by senior John Thornton (13th) and sophomore Teddy Carney (22nd). We will compete at the State Meet on November 12th. Full results on mdrunning.net OM Times at Regionals(.xls) OM Times(.txt) The county meet was very competitive as always. Look for Howard County to do very well at the Region and State Level. The boys finished 9th and the girls finished 6th. John Thornton (24th) and Grace Concannon (8th) lead the way for the Scorps. Full results on mdrunning.net OM Times at Counties(.xls) OM Times(.txt) The Scorpion Crawl was very successful. We had 462 total finishers and the course held up very well. The boys finished 5th out of 14 teams and the girls placed 7th out of 11 teams. The girls all time course record (18:55) was almost broken (it is an 18 year old record set by Steffi Rausch from Howard High School). Kelsey Hill ran 19:02 to win a very competitive girls Varsity race. Andrew Revelle (Atholton) won the boys race in 16:40 (course record 16:21 by Izudin Mehmedovic 2001). Thanks to all the parents (and alumni) who worked at various places today. We couldn't have done it without you. You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!! Also, thanks to the Howard County Striders and Jim Disciullo for making the finish and scoring run very smoothly. Boy Varsity Ind. It had been many years since we were there (actually the last time we attended was when Beast-Coach Brian-was a freshman at the Mill). The day was beautiful and the course was fast. We had a great day. Both the boys and girls varsity teams placed 3rd and we had 2 boys and 2 girls earn medals with many others earning ribbons. Congrats to the team. Keep up the hard work.
