The war in Iraq is almost at an end; and the Anglo-American coalition seems to have won. But the key reason why America prosecuted this war was to get rid of Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD); and yet the evidence of Iraq's possessing these weapons did not appear. So American officials now say that these alleged weapons were somehow moved to Syria; and American guns are now heading towards a war in Syria.
WMD is very dangerous and they can lead to world war. And can kill many people. Therefore a war that removes WMD is very good. And to remove tyranny is also good-to make people free. These resons support the argument for this war. However,this war does not have only good objectives. Many underlying motives are wrong.
Firstly, when we just look at the surface of these events, the removal of a dictatorial regime in Iraq seems good, enough. But this war, in total, is not good. In the first place, the true underlying reason why the American politicians wanted to have this war is for the sake of their own superior position in the Middle East, and for better control of oil distribution. In essence, this war is for the USA's own national advantage.
Secondly, this war is not good, in the long-run, because the Coalition could not prove the main accusations supporting a war: Iraq's possession of Weapons of Mass Destruction; or that Hussein and/or his regime were surely helping terrorists. Although the UN sent weapons inspectors, who concluded that there were no weapons found, to date, and that Iraq was cooperating; America chose to ignore the opinion of the UN and of the global community and attacked Iraq, anyway.
Finally,many traqi people die. Many who are not combatants in this war nor associated with Hussein, many innocent people have been killed. How unfortunate,to kill civiliens. But American officers have alleged that civilian casualties are natural in war. This opinion seems to promote terrorism.
In conclusion , the empire building in Iraq and other US aggression in the world must end. We should know that US advantage is not to everyones advantage. And now we make UN have the power that can obstruct that US colonize other country.But one country cannot block a super power, so we have used un's power. but now the un's power is weaken than America's power. In order to obstruct that US colonize other country.Now we have to strenghten the power of the UN.
