     Amber is the fossilized resin from acient forest.Amber is not produced from the sap, but rather from plant resin. This aromatic resin can drip from and ooze down trees , as well as fill internal fissures, trapping debris such as seeds, leaves, feathers and insects.The resin becomes buried and fossilized through a natural polymerizarion of the original organic compounds.Although not mineral, it is considered a gemstone.Most of the world's amber is in the range of 30-90 milion years old. Semi-fossilized resin or sub-fossil amber is called copal
    The levelof succinite contained in amber  determines its quality. Baltic amber contains the highest level of succinic acid , thus Baltic amber is the most highly valued form of amber.
    Baltic amber is usually golden to yellow-brown  colour. White and green are more rare.
    Amber allows the body to heal itself by absorbing and transmuting negative energy into positive energy. It emits a sunny and bright soothing energy which helps calm nerves and to enliven the disposition.
    It helps one in the art of manifestation to bring that which is desired to the state  of reality. It stimulates the intellect and opens the crown chakra.
     It cleanses the enviroment in which it rests and is  an excellent mineral for use in purifying birthing and re-birthing rooms.
     Amber has been used in the treatment of goiter and other dis-eases of the throat.
