Cecil
Rhodes and the Illuminati "I contend that we are the finest race in the world In evaluating the
validity of Bruce Roberts’ claims, made in his handwritten notes
he calls “The Gemstone Files,” it has been necessary to do some
historical homework, to lay the ground for the claims he has made
concerning oil, drugs, banking, organized crime and a “secret
society” he claims is bent on delivering the US political system
to communist rulers. If there was such
a scheme, did it just suddenly appear in 1932 or was it something
that had been gradually evolving over a much longer period of time?
History indeed does suggest such a scheme has existed for hundreds,
if not thousands of years. In ancient times, the Order of the
Assassins was controlled by the politicians and kept in a constantly
drugged state of bliss until their next assignment. The high priests
of religion and politics controlled the drugs of their time, as well
as the money, and held powerful sway over public opinion,
manipulating it to increase their own wealth and power – and at
the public expense. It seems some things never change. For the purposes
of this chapter of inquiry, we take a look at some of the people and
events in a timeline that begins in 1776, when America was first
formed, as the Thirteen Colonies coming together in a republic form
of government. The full story itself goes back to ancient Egypt and
probably farther back than that. Certainly in the centuries since,
one can argue that the Roman empire was bent on world domination,
just as is the Illuminati (“New World Order”) of today. From the most
ancient of times, it was the high priests who held the power of
magic and alchemy, the Enlightenment that led them to call
themselves the Illuminati – or The Enlightened Ones. This
“enlightenment” gave them immense power over the masses. They
passed this power on through their secret orders and from family to
family, all the while seeing themselves as an elite meant by destiny
to rule the world. But the most intriguing question of all remains
unanswered – and that answer may go back to a time before time,
before the human race was allowed to enter the Garden: If this world
elite are the “enlightened ones” – who did the
“illuminating”? Who are they and what are their powers? Roberts’ papers
and scribbled notes seem to start in the middle, and cover only a
brief timeline from 1932 to 1975, a small window if you will on the
much broader vision of how we came to be what we are. For now, at
least, 1776 seems to be a logical starting place. Out of the birth
of the American empire, one man – Cecil Rhodes - stands out even
before John D. Rockefeller as the power behind the scenes, the man
manipulating events to create that New World Order, be it fascist or
(as Roberts believed) communist. Could it in fact be both, springing
from an even deeper, common source of power and greed? Several timelines
could be made, each one dealing with a specific aspect of events –
oil, banking, drugs, political power, mystical orders and religious
aspects, etc., etc. In fact, such various timelines probably should
be constructed to give deeper understanding of the whole panorama of
events. One could then overlap them to see the convergence that
appears. Yet to lump them all together without first separating them
would probably lead only to confusion and “data overload.”
Indeed, Roberts himself has brought together a convergence of events
from the religious to the scientific – and it the broad scope of
his work that has, among other things, earned him such ridicule as
“a paranoid fantasy-meister.” Much of what he
claims can be documented; some of it cannot. The sheer size of what
he was trying to grasp and explain may well have been what drove him
to ultimate madness, as it did L. Ron Hubbard, founder of
Scientology. Both men saw a glimpse of hell on earth – and it was
more than the human mind could bear. Both men, with an inflated
perception of their own importance and their own ego, found
themselves immersed in a Truth far greater than their egos could
possibly support, and they saw their own roles for what they were
– relatively insignificant. Madness was their only alternative to
sustain their sense of importance. Yet the visions they both saw
were, to a large extent, valid – and even their madness cannot
refute that. In the 225 years
from 1776 to 1900, one man stands out perhaps more than any other in
the story of the quest for world domination, and that man is Cecil
John Rhodes – the Colossus of Africa. Beginning of the Timeline "All warfare is based on deception... 1776
– Thirteen colonies in America declared their independence from
England and formed a republic – not a democracy, as we’ve been
led to believe. The Declaration of Independence was a radical
political and social document, while the concepts of the US
Constitution were of a more economic nature to serve the fields of
trade and commerce, with the exception of the Bill of Rights. Also
in this year was formed the Order of Illuminati, founded in
Bavaria and the originator of the Reign of Terror; the
Illuminati was a secret political, religious, mystic order with
overtones of witchcraft and Satanism. Its goal was worldwide
domination. A common link between these two events is the Order
of Masons, a secretive cult going back to ancient Egypt. George
Washington and many of our Founding Fathers were Masons; Masons
were being hounded in Europe as Satanists and this is the “freedom
of worship” these men sought in the New World. Even the timing of
the signing of the Declaration of Independence (about 2 am) was
allegedly purposely timed in accordance with ancient Masonic and
astrological aims. Illuminati founded by Weishaupt. American Declaration of

– The bankers of France and England and of the House of
Rothschild infiltrated American financial and political circles,
involving themselves in the finance of both the British and the
Colonies. The Illuminati spread and reached its tentacles into the
higher circles of European society; its 2,000 or fewer members
sought to replace Christianity with a “religion of reason.” It
formed an alliance with the Masonic cult. 1779 - John Paul Jones says "Damn the torpedos!" Benedict

imperialism was born – an extension of the same greed that had
haunted the human race since its inception in the Garden of Eden. 1787 - German authorities publish letter by Weishaupt admitting he

most of them form a chain and give rise to others." - LE
COUTEULX DE CANTELEU (Masonic author) [22] Jun. 25, 1863 - "The few who understand the system, will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favors that there will be no opposition from that class. In Mexico, Napoleon (who would later turn out to be Rhodes’
favorite idol) was setting up the government of Maximilian
after an 1862 blockade of Mexico – set up because Mexico refused
to pay its national debt to Britain, France and Spain. Napoleon had
sent in 30,000 troops. Senator Gwin (Calif.) was deeply involved in
the US Civil War, which broke out just the year before, and offered
Maximilian a deal involving the exchange of US territory for
Maximilian’s financing. Other financing was already available from
the House of Rothschild, long-time European kingmakers and
king-breakers (through economics); August Belmont,
Rothschild’s agent. Handled

Then everywhere the people - forced to defend themselves against the world MINORITY revolutionaries - will exterminate those destroyers of civilization. And the multitudes, DISILLUSIONED with Christianity...WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE of where to send its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure DOCTRINE of LUCIFER brought finally out into public view, a manifestation which will follow the destruction of Christianity and Atheism both conquered and exterminated AT THE SAME TIME." - ALBERT PIKE 1872
– At the age of 18, Rhodes suffered a heart attack, but shortly
recovered. He hated women and refused to allow women to live on the
plantation. His deep-seated hatred reared its head time and time

of the Little Big Horn. Bell patents telephone. Otto builds
four-cycle gasoline engine. Jun. 2, 1877 - First of seven wills in which Cecil Rhodes leaves his money to establish a secret society to expand British rule throughout the world.Although
Rhodes was slightly contemptuous of the organization he had just
joined - `I wonder that a large body of men can devote themselves to
what at times appear the most ridiculous and absurd rites without an
object and without an end' - the fact remains that whatever the
Masonic induction he had gone through, it would appear to have
triggered something of an epiphany in the young student. What exactly happened to him alone
in his room that night? No one will ever know, except that exactly
the same thing happened to another man, in the following century,
who also went on to become one of the most powerful men the world
has ever known - Adolf Hitler. In
his book, `Hitler Speaks', published in 1939, Hermann
Rauschning writes of an event that took place at the beginning of
the 1930's prior to Hitler's seizure of power and his ascent to fame
and infamy. Says Rauschning: `My informant described to me in full
detail a remarkable scene - I should not have credited the story if
it had not come from such a source. Hitler stood swaying in his
room, looking wildly about him. `He! He! He's been here!' He gasped.
His lips were blue. Sweat streamed down his face. Suddenly he began
to reel off figures, and odd words and broken phrases, entirely
devoid of sense. It sounded horrible. He used strangely composed and
entirely un-German word formations. Then he stood quite still, only
his lips moving .... gradually he grew calm. After that he lay
asleep for many hours.' In
1933, soon after this strange event, Hitler seized power and the
rest, as they say, is history. A clue to exactly what fearsome thing
Hitler had witnessed is given by Hitler himself, who said to his
circle of intimate friends, of which Rauschning was a part: `The new
man is among us! He is here! I will tell you a secret. I have seen
the vision of the new man - fearless and formidable. I shrank from
him!' On
another occasion, reported by Rauschning, Hitler remarked: `I will
tell you a secret. I am founding an Order.' Which is pretty well
exactly what Rhodes had set out to do after his illumination. How
strange that Rhodes' secret society dedicated to ruling the world
should have ultimately become a living reality in the next century
in Hitler's SS (Schutzstaffel). Historians and biographers have
criticized his naivety, but the fact remains that when Rhodes did
reveal his 'idea' to others, it often had the same effect, resulting
in them devoting themselves from then on to helping him achieve his
lofty aims. There
was an event in Rhodes' life, soon after his `illumination' at
Oxford that is hardly mentioned by his biographers, but which may
well provide a key to how Rhodes acquired the personal magnetism and
power that he displayed from then on. Three
months after his Masonic induction at Oxford, Rhodes was back at the
diamond diggings of Kimberley, in South Africa. One night, while
staying in his bachelor quarters, a very strange thing happened.
`His friends', according to his biographer Sir Lewis Michell, `found
him in his room, blue with fright, his door barricaded with a chest
of drawers and other furniture; he insisted that he had seen a
ghost.' Immediately after this pivotal crisis, Rhodes had his
previously penned `Confession of Faith' (which also contained
his last will and testament) legally formalized by a Kimberley
attorney. From then on, his star was in the ascendant. On the evening after the ceremony,
Rhodes sat pondering what had happened that day. Then, as he puts
it, the 'idea gleaming and dancing before one's eyes like a
will-of-the-wisp at last frames itself into a plan'. He
proceeded to pen his `Confession of Faith' in which he outlined his
ambition: to establish a secret society whose objective would be the
furtherance of the British Empire and the uniting of the entire
Anglo-Saxon race, including America, into one single empire. From
that day, June 2, 1877, Rhodes was a man with a mission, with his
`Confession of Faith' his guiding star and inspiration. When he had
grown to trust anybody, he would confidentially reveal his 'idea' to
him and expect the man's life to be changed immediately. The
German scientist, Oswald Spengler, in his `Decline and Fall of
Civilization in the West', described the spirit of colonial
expansion which possessed Rhodes as something, `daemonic and
immense, which grips, forces into service and uses up mankind.' And
herein lies the clue to the careers of both Rhodes and Hitler, that
at a point in their lives, they both encountered something
`daemonic'. In
the years after the end of the First World War, Rhodes began to
receive attention from the European political right wing precisely
because his career showed such an elemental will to power. In 1918
the intellectual prophet of German Nazism, Oswald Spengler,
published the first volume his famous work, 'The Decline of the
West'. In this book, Spengler regards Rhodes with almost mystical
awe, as a prototype of a new sort of leader. 'Rhodes is to be
regarded as the first precursor of a western type of Caesar. He
stands midway between Napoleon and the force-men of the next
centuries....in our Germanic world, the spirits of Alaric and
Theodoric will come again - there is a first hint of them in Cecil
Rhodes.' Hitler
himself appears to have made only one reference to Rhodes: at a
dinner on April 18, 1942, he discussed Britain's failure to maintain
the world position it had held in the Victorian age and commented
that the only person who had understood the historical conditions
for continuing British supremacy was Cecil Rhodes, whom the British
had ignored.

- Life of Edgar Cayce, visionary, trance-channeler who
spoke of reincarnation, Egyptian mysteries, and Atlantis. December
1881 – Rhodes graduated from Oxford, filled with a vision of
reuniting the British empire, with himself as the British emperor.
He even sought to place the United States once again under British
rule. His wills, written in 1872 and 1877, outlined his goals of
world domination; his third will set up the Rhodes Scholarship
Fund. By this time, Rhodes had expanded his empire into a merger
with the De Beers Mining Co. Ltd., the rich diamond mining
company of South Africa. He had also managed to be elected to the
Cape Colony Parliament, a seat he kept until he died. 1881 - Garfield assassinated. Czar Alexander II assassinated by secret
society. Disraeli publishes "Lothair," a novel
about secret societies and European politics. 1882
– Rhodes set up housekeeping with Neville E. Pickering, the only
person he ever allowed to get close to him. Many historians say this
was a homosexual relationship. The years 1882-1902 saw Britain’s
colonialism explode – to land possessions in Africa more than 35
times its own land area. Oct.
28, 1882 – Rhodes’ third will leaves all his worldly possessions
to Pickering. 1884 - Following the
death of Karl Marx, a small group of English intellectuals form the
FABIAN SOCIETY. Led by Beatrice and Sidney Webb and the Irish author
and playwright, George Bernard Shaw, their goal is to
"...establish the same GODLESS, SOCIALISTIC ONE-WORLD society
envisioned by Marx." - GEORGE BERNARD SHAW [25] Apr. 20, 1884 - "Masonry also attempts to control the education of youth, and mold it to its own godless pattern. So the Church is allowed no share in education, and in many places Masonry has succeeded in placing it entirely in the hands of laymen, and has banished from moral teaching all mention of man's duties to God." - POPE LEO XIII [26] Aug.
1884 – Rhodes, now British Deputy Commissioner, announced his aims
to take over the country of Stellaland. 1885 - First practical horseless carriage built by Daimler. Jan.
1885 – At Rhodes’ request, 40,000 troops under Sir Charles
Warren, arrived in South Africa for an invasion of Bechuanaland to
“liberate it” from German control and from President Paul Kruger
of the Transvaal Territory. Rhodes’ wishes didn’t completely
come true, because Bechuanaland was divided into a Crown Colony and
a British Protectorate – but at least he had managed to remove the
German influence, which he saw as contrary to his own personal
interests. Oct.
16, 1886 – Pickering died. The effect on Rhodes was very dramatic;
he became colder, crueler, and more distant than ever. 1887
– Golden Dawn founded in London by Mathers and others. Mitchelson-Morley
experiment disproving ether theory. 1888 - Unsolved murders of London prostitutes by "Jack the
Ripper," suspected of being one of those implicated in
the Cleveland Street Affair involving high-society
Victorians and their patronage of a brothel staffed by
messenger boys. Feb.
11, 1888 – Rhodes, acting for Britain, negotiates a “peace and
amity” treaty with Lobengula, ruler of Matabeleland and
Mashonaland. Mar.
1888 – De Beers Consolidated Mining Co. Ltd. was empowered by Queen
Victoria to annex Central Africa, maintain a standing army and
“undertake warlike operations.” Oct.
30, 1888 – Lobengula granted Rhodes exclusive metal and mineral
rights to his kingdom, apparently unaware of what Rhodes was doing.
Historians pretty much agree Rhodes took grossly unfair advantage of
the African chief. 1889
- Second Communist International organized. Mar.
1889 – Rhodes went to London to buy out or intimidate competitors
who were also seeking mineral concessions from Lobengula and trying
to get him to change his mind on giving Rhodes exclusive control.
Shortly after Rhodes returned to Cape Town, Queen Victoria,
impressed at the many things he had promised to do for the British
empire, granted him a Royal Charter of Incorporation. Shareholders
were informed: “The powers of the Company are as extensive as
those of any Company that ever existed.” Much of his support came
from Lord Salisbury, the Duke of Abercorn and the Duke
of Fife. Jul. 14, 1889 -
"That which we must say to the crowds is - We worship a God,
but it is the God that one adores without superstition. To you,
Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat
it to the Bretheren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees - The
Masonic religion should be, by all of us initiates of the high
degrees, maintained in the purity of the LUCIFERIAN doctrine. Dec.
10, 1889 – Shot full of morphine (he was addicted to it by Dr.
Jameson, a Rhodes agent), Lobengula signed away the rights to his
country, giving Rhodes permission to send an army of men into
Mashonaland. A planned force of 2,500 was reduced to an advance
expedition of 250 men, who were to set up a new Rhodes City. 1890 - Biologist Yersin visits India, purportedly to receive plague and cholera serum from the Nine Unknown. Wounded Knee massacre.1890
– Rhodes was named Prime Minister of Cape Colony. Cecil Rhodes was
spending $5 million a year to create his “new world government”
based on the Order of Illuminati and the Mason cult. His bank
account was constantly overdrawn to pay for his New World Order.
A Briton, Rhodes sought to bring the US and all the English-speaking
world back under British control. At his Westminster Palace Hotel
suite, he received a steady stream of high official visitors,
including Lord Rothschild. Jun.
27, 1890 – Rhodes’ clandestine military force, led by Frederick
Selous, started off for Mashonaland. Sept.
11, 1890 – The expeditionary force reached its destination and the
city of Fort Salisbury (named after Lord Salisbury) was founded. 1891
– Insulted when his baggage was searched at the border of
Portuguese East Africa, Rhodes descended the gangplank screaming,
“I’ll take their fucking country away from them!” Only a few
months earlier, backed by the Rothschilds, Rhodes had asked
Transvaal President Paul Kruger to help him invade Delegoa Bay in
the province of Lourenco Marques. Kruger said no, but unbeknownst to
him Rhodes had first offered to buy the whole province from the
Portuguese government. Feb. 5, 1891 - The
secret society of which Rhodes spoke was launched on February 5,
1891. Forming the executive committee of this society were Rhodes,
Stead, Lord Esher, and Alfred Milner. Below them was a
"Circle of Initiates" comprised of Lord Balfour, Sir Harry
Johnson, Lord Rothschild, Lord Grey, and other scions of Britain's
financial and aristocratic elite. According to Professor
Quigley, Bill Clinton's mentor at Georgetown University, "The
scholarships were merely a facade to conceal the secret society, or
more accurately, they were to be one of the instuments by which the
members of the secret society could carry out his purpose." "The Rhodes
Scholarships,
as outlined in Rhodes' will, became the main instrument whereby
the most promising young people throughout the English-speaking
world could be recruited to serve an idea that Rhodes thought would
take 200 years to fulfill." And, says Quiqley: "Obviously,
the way the secret society would recruit its future leaders from
among the Rhodes scholars was to dangle before them the prospects of
future advancement in whatever field they chose to pursue, be it
education, politics, government, foundation work, finance,
journalism, etc. Thus, if you understood the implicit message being
given to you by your sponsors you might one day become president of
Harvard, President of the United States, a Supreme Court Judge, a US
senator, or president of the Carnegie Foundation. The road to fame
and fortune was open as long as you played the game and obeyed the
rules. The Association of American Rhodes Scholars has an alumni
membership of about 1,600. They have become leading figures in the
new ruling elite in America." 1892
- Rockefeller trust transferred to holding company: Standard Oil
of New Jersey. 1893
- Assassination of Chicago Mayor Harrison. July
1893 – Fort Victoria Massacre, in which Lobengula retaliated
against the blacks of Rhodes’ territory for Mashona cattle raids
against Matabela. Rhodes sold 50,000 shares of his Royal Charter and
prepared for war, while Lobengula tried to enlist the help and
advice of Queen Victoria against this bulldozer of power. His
simple, almost illiterate letter was a bombshell in London. Oct.
1893 – Rhodes’ army, led by Dr. Jameson, invaded Metebalaland. Nov.
14, 1893 – Lubengala was defeated and fled, trying to obtain a
peace treaty from exile. Rhodes established the settlement of
Bulawayo. Lubengala never harmed the white troops, believing he
could work out the problems; one of his last two acts as king had
been to ensure the safety of two white traders trapped in the
conflict. Spurned by Rhodes, he is said to have died of smallpox. 1894
– Cecil Rhodes, upset over US tariff reforms, sent a letter
“full of fulminate threats, promises and good advice” to the
president, with copies to all senators. Late
1894 – John Hays Hammond, an American mining engineer in
Transvaal, asked Rhodes in September to discreetly use his influence
against the Germans in Transvaal. Rhodes agreed and enlisted the aid
of Lord Roseberry, British prime minister, in transferring the
Bechuanaland Protectorate to Rhodes’ Chartered Company. This
authorized Rhodes to act as an extension of the British army, but
with the freedom to make his own war decisions. Rhodes and Alfred
Beit started arming African rebels. Dr. Jameson was chosen to enter
Transvaal and incite a rebellion, then lead it to victory. 1895
- The US Secretary of State said “the United States is practically
sovereign on this continent, and its fiat is law upon the subjects
to which it confines its interposition. Early
1985 – Rhodes couldn’t decide whether to name the new territory
he’d captured from Lobengula “Rhodesland” or “Cecilia”; he
settled on “Rhodesia.” Britain annexed the coastline up to
Portuguese East Africa, encircling the Transvaal. Germany allied
itself with Kruger’s government, while Rhodes aligned himself with
the rebels, the miners of Witwatersrand – the Uitlanders
(foreigners) – who were being oppressed under repressive measures
from Kruger, frightened that if they were ever given the
opportunity, they would have the votes to dethrone him. A revolution
was in the making. Late
1895 – Rhodes obtained a strip of Bechuanaland supposedly to build
a railroad from Rhodesia to the Cape. He imported his army right up
to the border of the Transvaal “to protect the rail line.”
British officials in high places, as high as the prime minister,
knew “momentous events” were about to take place according to
Rhodes’ plans. Over the past four years, Rhodes had poured so much
corporate money into his clandestine wars that his Chartered Company
was bankrupt; banks would accept checks only if they were personally
endorsed and guaranteed by either Rhodes or De Beers. Rhodes and the
Rothschilds jointly offered to buy the coast town of Beira from
Portugal, who badly needed money. Outbid by The Buccaneer, J. B.
Robinson, Rhodes was unable to get off another bid before there was
a change in the Portuguese government and the subject was dropped. During
this same period and beginning especially with the Bank Panic of
1893 in the US, the Rothschilds and J. P. Morgan were
manipulating the American economy the same way Rhodes was taking
over Africa. A series of bank panics enabled Morgan to gain banking
control of the US. Dec.
1895 – Transvaal rebels concluded they were under-armed and
under-manned – nothing more than cannon fodder for Rhodes, who
didn’t care if the rebels lived or died so long as he had an
excuse to use his own troops to invade the country. Feeling uneasy,
the rebels sent conflicting messages to Dr. Jameson. Dec.
29, 1895 – “I received so many messages from day to day, telling
me to come, then to delay starting, that I thought it best to make
up their minds for them before the Boers had time to get
together,” said Jameson. He invaded, right into the waiting arms
of the Boers at Doornkoip, 20 miles outside Johannesburg. He
surrendered and was put in prison in Pretoria. Dec.
30, 1895 – Rhodes resigned as Prime Minister of Cape Colony in the
wake of the scandal. 1896
- Maconi's patent No. 7777 for radio. First "flap year"
for UFOs: wave of sightings of unidentified airships in U.S. Jan.
15, 1896 – Rhodes sailed for London from Kimberley. His philosophy
was simple: “I prefer land to niggers” (Rhodes of Africa, p.
242). Some indication of his inner thoughts and the way his mind
worked can be gleaned from his reading habits. The Choir
Invisible by James Lane Allen, an American (1849-1925) was the
only novel he thought was “great.” Other favorite books included
Gibson’s Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Bryce’s American
Commonwealth, Milner’s England in Egypt, Mahan’s Influence
of Sea Power and virtually every biography ever printed on
Napoleon – but he refused to discuss Napoleon or his ideas. Rhodes
was also fascinated by the lives and ideas of the Roman emperors and
when he couldn’t find enough in the English language to satisfy
him, he ordered translations from the Italian archives. 1897 - Assassination of Premier Canovas of Spain. Zionism founded in
Basil, Switzerland by Theodore Herzl. 1898
- Assassination of Empress Elizabeth of Austria. Pavlov begins

- Tesla discovers terrestrial stationary waves which can produce
electricity; reports receiving signals from another planet.
Alleged meeting in England at which the Morgans, Rothschilds
and Warburgs become affiliated. The Treaty of Paris gave the U.S. Guam, the Philippines and the

the 19th century, the Americans followed the same expansionist
principles as did Cecil Rhodes and the European kingmakers. Our
Monroe Doctrine kept European powers out, supposedly, although
Napoleon’s ventures into Mexico made a mockery of that doctrine,
yet it also set the stage for U.S. intervention. SOURCE NOTES NEXT: 1900- |
