Domestic Violence
Domestic violence affects 31% of all women at sometime in their lives. Members of Olympias Daughters share experiences, healing, and the ways we can and have personally worked to stop this epidemic. The music is healing, empowering, and full of hope. Yes, we can each make a difference!

Revival
The Revival tradition is hundreds of years old and dates back to the time before slavery in the USA. A revival reminds us who we are and inspires us to face another day. Olympias Daughters "Sing 'til the spirit moves in our hearts" and share stories of inspiration. This program reawakens the heart and spirit. Join us to sing, listen, and create musical community together.

Songs for Survival
During WW II, women imprisoned in Sumatra created a vocal orchestra to help themselves survive in captivity. This service/program incorporates pieces they performed as well as other songs that can help ease people through challenges and heartaches , giving them courage and strength for their survival.

Living Song
This popular service combines lively narration, some performance pieces and many congregational songs from the U-U hymnal "In The Living Tradition." This service inspires people to sing with heart, spirit and mind. It is a joyful, positive experience that shows how fulfilling community singing can be.

A Heritage of Womens Music through the Ages
Female composers or lyricists wrote all songs performed during this program. It honors our foremothers bravery, perseverance and spirit. This is very appropriate for use during Womens History Month.

Music and Emotion
This service takes listeners on a journey of emotion. It begins with meditative songs that encourage people to center themselves and listen to their hearts. The songs then travel through emotions from loss and pain to acceptance and joy.

Seasons of Womens Lives Cantata
Composed by Director Penny Gnesin with lyrics by members of the choir, this cantata honors the three stages of a womans life: virgin, mother, and crone. The melodies, both haunting and lyrical, create an analogy between natures seasons and the passages of womens lives.

Goddess Cantata
This meditative piece relies upon ageless melodies to upon the goddesses of earth, water, sky, and emotions.
