Hi. I'm Ashley. Nice to meet you. I will now tell you tons of fun stuff about me! Starting at the beginning, I was born in Brooklyn, NY. I then moved to Suburbia,(where people cut down trees and name streets after them)here in Port Washington, NY. I may be trapped here now as a student at Schreiber High School, but I do not plan to stay here for more than a minute the instant that diploma touches my hands.
School is easy and dreadfully boring so I read in all my classes... except Chemistry, Math, and English ofcourse! I love foreign languages, so I am studying both French and Spanish, which I plan to use in my travels. my favorite author is Gabriel Garcia marquez, an dmy favorite poet Pablo Neruda, both of whose works I hope to read in the original language. Many teachers have caught me reading Jack kerouac, Voltaire, Tom Stoppard, and Mary Oliver under the desk. I also play electric and acoustic guitar, which I picked up about 9 months ago. I write my own stuff mostly and am beginning classical and jazz on my Cordoba. I am into classic rock, a lot of mid 60's stuff like Joplin, Hendrix, the Greatful Dead, as well as Pink Floyd and Dylan, but also enjoy Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, more contemporary stuff like Nirvana and Pearl Jam,punk, sca and chick music, even an occasional Duke Ellington or even Rachmananoff. Very big music person. I also write poetry, lyrics, short stories, and just recently wrote my first play. I am often found sketching with charcoals or work on a new ink, acrylic or oil as well,usually leaning towards impressionism with a deeply aaesthetic message.
As you might see, who knows which path I will choose in life. I am very passionate about ecology as well as all of my artistic and creative venues. Ideally, I would live in a small cabin in the mountains of California, however I feel that it will be responsibility to see the world and send my message, whatever it is and however it is delivered, to all of you beautiful people out there.
