The Oneness of the BodyI had a real appreciation for why the oneness is so important for our enjoyment of the Lord. Without this oneness, the fellowship of the body of Christ is hindered. This is a extremely serious problem because today in the church the only thing that we should be called to is this fellowship. I Cor 1:10 says, "Now I beseech you, brothers through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be attuned to the same mind and in the same opinion." So many times we fall into the fantasy that it's ok to try to enjoy the Lord by ourselves - it's ok to have our own way of doing things. When we have this type of individuality, our preferences rule us. Immediately, we loose out on taking Christ as our unique center. For those of us surrounded by brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers - do we have the realization that our preferences ruin our enjoyment of Christ? The mutual fellowship of enjoyment where we enjoy God, God enjoys us, and we enjoy Christ in all the saints is non existent. May the Lord open our eyes to see Him as our unique portion. Hallelujah, "God is faithful through whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." - I Cor 1:9.
