Originally from the Philippines, Fr. Cabardo finished his theological studies at Immaculate Conception School of Theology at Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey.
Ordained on May 29, 1999, he was assigned inn Immaculate Conception Church, Secaucus where he served for a year.
He moved to the Church of Our Lady of Mercy in June, 2000.
Currently, he serves as the spiritual director and priest in charge of the parish's Rosary Society, Altar Servers Ministry and Couples for Christ.
Deacon Nicholas Fargo
Deacon Nick is practically a native of Jersey City. He has been serving the parish as a permanent deacon since his ordination in 1975.
A member of the Jersey City Fire Department for 32 years, Deacon Nick spends his leisure time in the company of his three children and seven grandchildren.
He is currently in charge of the registration for the Baptism of infants.
Patricia Squires
Born and raised in the Bayonne and Jersey City area, Pat has been sharing God's gifts of love, laughter, prayer and joy with the community.
Her expertise in the teaching profession has helped her in her commitment in the parish which run across a variety of programs including, the Mom's Ministry,
Families Beyond Baptism; training of adults for the Children's Liturgy of the Word Team; preparation for First Eucharist and Reconciliation; RCIA & School of Religion.
Pat's infectious energy and creativity enlivens every person whose heart she has touched.
Emmanuel Arches
Em has been serving in the parish for only over two years. Coming from the Philippines, he has worked extensively in the youth and young adults ministries
of his home diocese.
His previous apostolate has prepared him with the parish's program for the youth and young adult members of the community. You can see him at work on Mondays with the Young Adults; Tuesdays with TORCH, the high school youth group; Wednesdays with CONNECT, the parish Confirmation Formation Process; Fridays with College TORCH and at the Youth Mass on First Sunday of the month.
