Our Lady of Mount Carmel Home of the Cougars Men's Varsity Volleyball The men's volleyball program begins practice in mid-August and runs until early November. A member of the MIAA, the team competes against schools such as Calvert Hall, Mt. St. Joe, Boys Latin and Loyola. The MIAA is only one of two leagues in the Baltimore area that sponsors men's volleyball as an interscholastic sport. In 2000, the Cougars became the first team ever to defeat Calvert Hall, advancing all the way to the MIAA championship before losing to the Cardinals. The Cougars are one of four teams to have qualified for the MIAA play-offs every year of its existance.
