The sport of lacrosse is
considered by many to be the most popular sport in
Maryland. Considered the fastest sport on two feet,
lacrosse is full of fast paced, hard hitting
excitement. At Mount Carmel, our men compete in the
MIAA, considered by many to be the best high school
lacrosse league in the country. Although we compete
in the C conference, the Cougars still faced three
players who received full NCAA division 1
scholarships. The Cougars have established
rivalries with schools such as Glenelg Country,
Sts. Peter & Paul, and Cardinal Gibbons.
Practice for the Cougars begins in late February,
and runs until the MIAA championship game in late
May at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium.
The Cougars are coached by Mr. Don DiBlasi who was
an all conference player at Hofstra University.
Coach DiBlasi is assisted by Mr Ron Schmidt and
Cougar alum Ryan Wojciechowski.
