The picture to the right is Jim Summerlin and Fannie Pate. I was told Fannie was about 16 years old when tis picture was taken. Fannie is the daughter of James "Jim Tom" Pate and Mary Brock Pate. Fannie was born June 12, 1893 and died May 9, 1955. She married Joe Wilson on Jan. 17, 1911. She and Joe Wilson are burried in the Wilson Family Cem. on Herman Wilson's farm about 1 1/2 mile east of Calypso, Duplin Co., NC
Below --- Herman Wilson, oldest child of Joe Wilson and Fannie Pate Wilson, born Oct 22, 1911. Granddaddy married Mary Jane Hardison (lower right), daughter of Robert E. Hardison and Emmie Howard Hardison, was born Oct. 22, 1911. No mistake! They were born on the same day. Grandmother left us Feb. 9, 1981. |
