| I believe I have a 6.9 run in the car. I had a real bad leaning out problem on the bottle. The front end felt like it was being pushed down on the big end due to this. To fix this, I am going to run a seperate fuel cell and pump for the bottle runs to make sure I have plenty of fuel. The week before, I was trapping the same mph but 2 tenths slower. The only thing I changed from week to week, was a cam and intake, which helped me on motor, so I should have more mph on the bottle to. With the bigger cam and intake, I am cutting better 60 foot also than the week before. That explains the topend feeling like dog crap and trapping the same mph and some runs less mph than the week before, but running 2 tenths faster. My 60 foot was helping me. So I hope to be putting some 6.99 times on this page in a few weeks. By then, I guess I should look at a roll bar of some kind and maybe doing some suspension work. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Update 10-11-02, I got the dedicated fuel system on, but now I am making to much power for my stock suspension. I couldn't get off the line as good with the 60 foot and then my tranny was slipping/flaring between my 2nd and 3rd gear shifts, hurting me real bad. But I did get just a tad better E.T. and the mph went up as much as 3 mph to. So, next season I will get my 6.9's after I do whats needed to be done for a long time now, Suspension, and of course a better tranny. But the seperate fuel system really puts me back in my seat. WOW, what a difference!!!!!!! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
