This represents the outside of one of the jail cells, not necessarily the one kept for historical purposes. On the left is where the cell was, and the windows, then, are on the right. Consquently, the jail was a pretty secure place. |

This is the cell reserved for historical purposes. The bars were keps within the cell, as well as within the windows beyond that. Right outside this particular window, one can see the Holmes County Courthouse, very close to the Old Jail Office building. The cell was cleaned and bar/door painted to match the new colors of the Old Jail building, but nothing else was touched. |

This is a current picture of the jail cell, with new colors on the bars and new lighting. There is also a mirror in this room, ready to hang up, and there has been talk of purchasing a prisoner's cot to better represent the cell's use. Currently, the "room" is used as a storage area for files that move in and out of offices. |
