1969 Z50 K0
This poor little Z was rescued from a marina in New York. The tank is pretty banged up but it was only $200 and most of the parts were on it. The guy I bought it from said it ran until the kids pulled out the spark plug cable. This might be true but then his kids are 30 now.
This is a straight-guard K0 that has been repainted once. The tank is dented and had body filler over the dents and had a terrible lining put in it at one time. I had to torch off the petcock but other than that is fine. The tank will require significant work before it is useable. I sold the handlebars and cables on Ebay since they were bent and after the CT restoration will always go with new bars and cables.
Here is a pretty standard hillbilly modification, weld on the kickstarter. Since I am going to completely go through the motor I don't mind but watch out for these.
This little bike has some big plans. The motor will be punched out to 85cc, big bore carb, and racing clutch.
